The 2nd photo caption on page 2 of the 1/20/67 KFXM survey (just below) is making fun of the KMEN balloon as a "hot windbag".

I just love this web site.

Maybe I'm getting too much into the 1960's - I'm starting to get urges to let my hair grow and wear tie-dyed t-shirts again...

In 1995 or 96 I asked KMEN General Manager Bob Bernstein for a hot air balloon, I knew he'd say no but it was worth asking for. Of the three General Managers I worked for while progamming KMEN, Dave Presher, Bob Bernstein, and Bob Ridzak, only Mr. Ridzak understood what KMEN was and what it meant to people who grew up listening. He also killed it. He also killed KFXM. If I were still working at KGGI, I'd be updating my resume.

Hey Doug, how about a weblink
to your other website.
Put it near the top of this
website. That'll be easy to find.
Self-promotion is a good thing !!

Jonny Bruce! What's up? I'm doing the computer thing for a bunch of really small radio stations in the midwest. My name here links to my blog. It's a MySpace thing, but it's a place to vent. I hope you are well. Say hello to Russ and Danny for me.
